Achieving College Excellence in the Sciences (ACES)

ACES is a structured honors tutorial program that brings high-ability freshman- to senior-level students of mathematics and science together with tutors at least twice a week.

The goal is to continue participants' precollegiate academic excellence in mathematics and science in the University setting. ACES focuses on students from groups that are underrepresented in mathematics and science disciplines.

Freshmen who participate in the program are required to register for the one-credit seminar BIOL 1905.

ACES participants become members of the academic support and social club Achieving Excellence in Mathematics and Science (AEIMS). Other resources and activities are also available through the Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence.

For more information, please contact Catherina Kipper, Coordinator of Multicultural Programs, at wongx005@umn.edu or 612-625-8634.
